For arcade fun, Mario Power Tennis for Gamecube (not Wii) or Sega Superstar Tennis. Wii Sports tennis is way too shallow for me.
Grand Slam Tennis is probably the best "traditional-styled" tennis game on Wii, and Virtua Tennis 4 is also pretty good.

If you want to sit like a coach potato and twiddle your thumbs, then yes: Mario or Sega are the choices for the Zelda and Kong crowd. If you like tennis and want to move around and be active, Wii Sports is great and you should give EA's Grand Slam Tennis a shot too. It supports "Motion Plus" and can be played with or without the troublesome nunchuck, and it has a ball machine mode that keeps going even if you misplay a ball.
If you want to be tortured with the nunchuck (they call it "added realism"), go ahead and use it with Grand Slam Tennis or give Virtua Tennis 2009 or Top Spin 4 a try. If you prefer cartoon graphics, give Mario Power Tennis New Controls for Wii a try as it is somewhat like Wii Sports Tennis. Just make sure you avoid Top Spin 3 or Vitua Tennis 4 as the both suck big time and are not worth the trouble of downloading.
